Soroush Badiei

Our Style

Our approach to photography is often described by our clients as a hybrid of traditional wedding photography and modern photojournalism. Due to the diversity of our clients, we find ourselves having to adjust to various demands of styles during weddings, a process which encourages us to constantly seek creativity. Having many years of collective experience, and as a team of two (father and son), we relish in the challenge of interchanging our styles during a photo shoot, and capturing unique, emotional, and story-telling moments.

About us

Behrouz is a father of two and a husband of 25 years. His first experience with photography came when he was gifted a Kodak 126 at the age of ten by his uncle. An avid hiker and a lover of nature, he excelled his photography skills in his youth, shooting the vast, tropical, mountainous plains of Northern Iran. After moving to the United States in 2001 with his family, he began to experiment with digital photography, which quickly captivated him. After a few years, he decided to follow with his long-time dream, and began to shoot weddings and events in Northern California.

Soroush became interested in photography while observing his father Behrouz during wedding shoots. He became enamored with the creativity involved in capturing the most important and subtle moments of the wedding day. His appreciation for photojournalism also grew as he frequented blogs websites, and galleries of well known photojournalists, deriving motivation from the images he saw. He continued to attend weddings as his father's photographer assistant, and was eventually given the role of full-time photographer in 2011. He is currently in the third year of his undergraduate education, receiving a B.A. in Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.
